Most Pharmacies are now running a scheme called 'Pharmacy First'. If you can't get an appointment at the Doctors or need help during the late evening or weekend you can be seen by the Pharmacist who can prescribe something for treatment.
Many treatments are available free of charge for children including Calpol, Headlice solution etc.
All you need to do is register with your local Pharmacy/Doctor.
