At Moorcroft Wood we teach children to read using the RWI phonics programme. As the Nursery year progresses, we will begin to expose children to sounds in order to begin to build words and read. The videos below will hopefully assist you in becoming familiar with the way we teach reading in school and provide helpful tips in how you can support your child in learning to read at home.
