Childnet is a trusted company on a mission to work with children and young people from the ages of 3 to 18 to help make the internet a great and safe place for everyone.
To this end, they have created some “SMART RULES” for children to consider when using the internet to make sure they can use it safely and positively.
Today your child will come home with a copy of this SMART RULES poster.
You can also download another copy from the below link if needed.
It would be fantastic, and beneficial to your child’s use of the internet, if you could find some time to discuss these rules with your child to ensure they understand the correct actions if faced with certain situations.
There is also an amazing link to a ChildNet SMART RULES quiz for the children to attempt to demonstrate their knowledge on how to stay safe online.
Finally, please let me emphasis again that should you have any concerns about any of these weekly e-safety top tips, or how to action any of the recommendations, please do not hesitate to speak to either your child’s teacher or a member of Moorcroft Wood’s management team.
