MFL

Intent

At Moorcroft Wood  we follow a broad, balanced and progressive MFL curriculum. We aim to introduce children to another language in a way that is interactive and enjoyable. Learning a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) supports an understanding of living in a multi - cultural society, provides an opening to other cultures and fosters curiosity about the wider world. This includes the importance of tolerance and understanding, which is crucial knowledge in today's world. We provide them with a greater understanding of Spanish culture, by providing opportunities to listen to music, sample food and take part in theme days.  We aim to develop their speaking and listening skills and lay the foundations for future study.
