Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This term's parent consultations will take place via telephone during the week beginning October 12th. Bookings can be made using the text system in the usual way - a link will be sent out nearer the time along with further details.
As you are no doubt aware, infection rates are on the increase once more. PLEASE help us to stay as safe as possible by following the drop-off and collection timetable closely. For the one-way system to operate successfully it is vital that parents only enter the site during the allocated 10 minute time slot for their child - this should ensure that there is very little cross-over between classes and we can all maintain a physical distance more easily. We would also request that only one adult per family comes onto site and that masks are worn as an extra safety measure wherever possible.
If you need to speak with a member of staff, please remember that we can be contacted by phone, Class Dojo or facebook messenger. Thank you for your support.
As the weather becomes much colder, please be sure to send children to school wearing coats. We will spend break times and lunch times outdoors whenever possible.
Reminder: Playground equipment around school, including the Early Years area and adventure play area by Year 3 and 4 playground, must not be used during drop-off and collection times. Staff are cleaning the equipment once children have finished playing with it in school time.
In order to minimise the risk of the spread of the infection, it is crucial that noone uses it once it has been cleaned.
Year 6 secondary admissions can now be made online. Please check on the website of any schools you are interested in viewing, to see what is on offer. Applications are only available online and must be made no later than October 31st 2020. Any applications made after that will be considered late.
If you have any difficulties in making an application and would like some help, please ring the school office to make an appointment with someone who can assist.
Just a reminder, Breakfast Club is available from 7:45am at the cost of £2:50. Please make any bookings in advance via the School Office.
Afterschool Club runs until 5pm, at £6.50per session. All payments should be made at the time of booking.
Please provide payment in a named envelope.
Swimming will resume from Monday 21st September. Children who are going parents have been informed. Please ensure your child brings the full kit with a towel in a bag.
As explained in the text link sent out this week, as children have settled so well on their return to school our transition period has been shortened.
This will mean that as of Monday, classes will switch to their new teachers, as detailed in the letter sent out before summer break. (Of course, not everyone was due a change.) Classes will be taught as follows for the rest of the year:
Reception - Miss Millington
Year 1 - Mr Lester
Year 2 - Mrs Etheridge and Mrs Joesbury
Year 3 - Mr Gilbey
Year 4 - Miss Perry
Year 5 - Miss Wall
Year 6 - Mr Oakley
'Meet the teachers' sessions have taken place this week, which I'm sure your children will have spoken about. The existing arrangements for dropping off and collection children will remain the same. Lets keep up the great work!
Thank you, once again for your support with our staggered drop off and collections - things have run smoothly again this week.
Please continue to stick to the one way system in place and remember to wear a mask to keep yourself and others safe.
This Wednesday marked the occasion of National Teaching Assistants Day. Thank you to all of our wonderful teaching assistants for their hard work, dedication and care.
