Hi everyone,
I hope that you and your family are well. I am in school today supporting the children of the key workers so I may not be able to reply to your messages as quickly as usual. I have put on some home learning suggestions, but as always, they are only suggestions. I am aware that there is quite a lot to do, so please pick the activities that you think your children will enjoy the most – unless of course you are feeling ambitious and do the lot!
I can be contacted on class dojo or by emailing EYFS@theatlasfederation.co.uk but please be aware that I may not be able to reply as quickly today because I am in school.

Activity Suggestions for Today
Phonics and Literacy
Ruth Miskin is delivering a speed sounds lesson on her Youtube channel at 9.30am. The programme developed by Ruth Miskin (RWI) is the one that the children will use in Reception. Nursery children may find the lessons a little dull, but the content is ideal.

Continue working on blending skills; a vital skill is mastering reading. See the activity below where children have to match words to pictures.
Check out the online English lesson from Oak Academy relating to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. This next lesson focuses on drawing a story map to set out the events of the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The story map will build into a written activity targeted at Reception aged children, however there is also a written activity for Nursery aged children to do that is explained in the lesson.
Maths
This week the lessons from Oak Academy have focused on numbers 0-10. The lesson today looks at finding the number that is one more than a given number. Please follow the link below.
Arts, Crafts and Understanding of the World
Lessons from earlier in the week explain a little about VE Day. There was a short video clip posted yesterday that explained in child friendly language about VE Day which can be viewed again by clicking on the link to yesterday’s home learning from the main Nursery home page.
I have also included a ‘design a medal’ activity for today. Perhaps you could make one using materials at home.
