Wednesday 1st July

Good Morning Year 3!

A fantastic day yesterday as always. It’s so wonderful seeing so many of you on our Zoom meeting.  If you are coming to school today please hold off from completing the English and Maths. You will need to bring your Maths and Comprehension book 1 with you please.

In English today we would like you to get your comprehension book 1 out and complete pages 24 and 25. Remember to read the text twice before looking at the questions. Once you have read the text twice move on to the questions and highlight or underline the answers in the text. When you write your answers try to write in full sentences.

In Maths we are going to be looking at the 3, 4 and 8 times tables. You need to get your CPG Maths book out and turn to page 22. Before you start answering the questions we would like you to write down your 3, 4, and 8 times tables. We have also attached a times table square to our class page to help you, you can also find these online by googling multiplication square. Get someone in your house to test you on your times tables for 10 minutes then start the questions in your books.

We would also like you to complete some Science today. In Science we are continuing our new topic of ‘Plants’ and today we are going to be looking at pollination. We have attached a PowerPoint presentation above with a structure to follow. Once you have read the PowerPoint then click on the worksheet on pollination on our class page.

Remember your daily exercise too. Walk around the local area and take in what you can see. Send us pictures of something new you have seen on your walk.

Please could you also try and read for 5 to 10 minutes today. Get comfy, relax and enjoy a good book.

If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.

Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work and points for going above and beyond by completing extra tasks.

Have a brilliant day and stay safe
