Good Morning Year 3!

A fantastic day yesterday as always. It’s so wonderful seeing all of the photos and videos of you learning so hard at home.

Today is National Numeracy Day so we have lots of activities based around Maths for you to participate in. We have attached a schedule for activities available on www.numeracyday.com for today and some other activities on our class page.

In Maths we are continuing to look at money this week. We would like you to click on this link:

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/

We would like you to click on Summer Term Week 3 lesson 3 ‘Subtract Money’ and watch the video on money. We would then like you to complete the tasks given. You do not have to print this off you can show your workings on a blank piece of paper if that is easier.

In English we would like you to get your comprehension books out and complete pages 14 and 15. Remember to read the text twice before looking at the questions. Once you have read the text twice move on to the questions and highlight or underline the answers in the text. When you write your answers try to write in full sentences.

As it is National Numeracy Day today we would like you to play our Mathopoly game attached above on Class Dojo and on our class page on the website. All of the resources you will need to play are on there. You have a choice of two Mathopoly games:

  1. Will be using your 3, 4 and 8 times tables to play.
  2. Will be using addition and subtraction up to 1000.

You can decide which game you play. If you have not got access to a printer you could always use a piece of paper to keep track of the money, properties and where each player is and have the board on the screen in front of you.

Please could you try and read for 5 to 10 minutes today. We would like to see what different items you can find to read in your house related to numbers or Math language.

If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.

Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work and points for going above and beyond by completing extra tasks.

Have a brilliant day and stay safe.
