Hi,

I hope everyone is well.  Thank you for working so hard at home, you are doing an excellent job.  Here are some suggestions for today.  Remember, they are only suggestions and I can see from the photographs you are sending in that you have lots of fabulous home learning ideas.  There are a few things to print out for the activities today.  If you are unable to print at home, please let me know and I can print work in school and put it in the school office for you to collect at a suitable time (I realise that people are trying to stay at home as much as possible).

Phonics (Blending Song)

Blending is the process of putting the individual sounds together to say words. Now that you have learned the sounds 'm', 'a', 's', 'd', and 't' you can start to blend some of these sounds together to say words such as 'mat', 'mad, 'sat' and 'sad' . In this video song other sounds are blended together too. How many of the words can you say?

Geraldine the Giraffe learns the i sound

Have a look at the 'i' sound. See if you can write it on a sheet of paper.

In this maths activity you have got some number cards to match to pictures of balloons.  If you cannot print the activity off, do not worry.  I know many of you have got number cards at home and have been sending me photographs of you matching the number card to the right number of objects.

Where do different farm animals live?

In the story of The Three Little Pigs, the pigs built their houses using straw, sticks and bricks.  Pigs living on farms wouldn't live in houses like they do in the story. Have a look at the different homes that farm animals live in.  Can you find where the pigs live?  Maybe you would like to draw a picture of your favourite farm animal.

You may have pets.  What do you have and do they need a special house or home?  In Nursery we have got our pet fish and they live in a fish tank.
