Good Morning Year 3 🙂
We hope that you are all ok and are looking forward to our Zoom meeting tomorrow. We’re so excited to see you all and for you to see each other. We will be sending the meeting details later on today.
Today in English we would like you to retell the story of Osiris and Seth in your own words. We would like to see command, exclamation, statement and question sentences in your writing as well as inverted commas for speech. Please try to organise your writing into paragraphs and if you could use a possessive apostrophe in your retell that would be excellent. If you’ve forgotten about Osiris and Seth or would like to refresh your memory you can find the story in the resources section from Thursday 4th June.
In Maths today we would like you to complete the estimating and inverse questions in your CGP booklets, unfortunately we can’t provide exact page numbers as some children have different books. Multiplication and division are inverse operations, if you multiply 4 by 5 you will get 20 and if you divide 20 by 5 you will get 4
4 x 5 = 20
20 divide by 5 = 4
Please try and find some time to read today, we have added a news story to the resources section on the class homepage so you can read that if you’d like to. There are questions attached to the article so if you decide to answer them please send us a picture so we can give you extra dojo points.
During lockdown all of our lives have changed in ways that we couldn’t have imagined and our priorities may have changed, priorities are things that are important to us. We would like you to think about what’s changed in your life and complete the pyramid of priorities activity, the sheet can be found in the resources section on the class homepage.
