Good Morning!
What another great day yesterday. You are making your teachers very proud.
8:50 – 9.30
Screen Free Time
For the first lesson of the day we would like you to have some screen free time. We want you to be creative during this session so please grab a paintbrush or some colouring pencils and draw something that you love. You might want to work on this picture with an adult or maybe you will create something that you can give to an adult that is helping you with your home schooling learning. For those very adventurous children out there why not have a go at sculpting something with play dough. Have fun and enjoy the time away from the screens.
9.30-9.50

Maths
In Maths today we are continuing to look at the properties of shapes. We are still concentrating on 2D shapes. Remember these are flat shapes.
Today we are going to look at polygons.
Polygons are shapes where all the sides are straight and join together, these are known as closed shapes.
Example of polygons include triangles and pentagons. All sides are straight and join together so they are closed.

Shapes which have curved sides are not polygons.
Also shapes where all the sides do not meet are not polygons. These are open shapes.
On our class page we have attached a worksheet all about polygons. You need to follow the instructions and draw a polygon.
If it tells you to move in jumps of 5. You start on 0 and draw a line to 5, then to 10, then 3 and so on until you land back on 0. This would make a 12 pointed star.
10.55 – 11.10
Break
11.10 – 11.35
Times table Practise
Today we would like you to go to the link below and log on to Mathletics. Remember to concentrate on your 2, 5 and 10 times tables and that you are confident before moving on to any of the others.
11.35 – 12.25
English
Today in English we are going to look at imperative verbs, these are also known as bossy verbs.
A verb is a doing/ action word.
Imperative verbs tell you what to do. They are often used at a beginning of a sentence as a command.
For example:
Mix the flour and eggs together.
The imperative verb here is mix, it is telling me what to do.
We are going to add out own imperative verbs on the worksheet.
For example:
your sandwich.
Some examples of imperative verbs are on our class page.
In the blank I could add cut. This sentence would command me with an imperative verb and would become:
Cut your sandwich.
Once you have completed your worksheet have a go at picking an imperative verb from the wheel below and write your own command sentence.
12.25 – 1.25
Lunch
1:25 – 2:05

The video will provide examples and demonstrations for each activity so please watch it carefully. We hope that you enjoy the activities and can’t wait to see you scrubbing the deck, walking the plank and swimming in shark infested waters.

2.15 – 2.45
Music
Today will be our final music lesson on pitch and the focus of the lesson will be changing the pitch. During the online lesson we will learn how to change the pitch of our singing voices and as always we will need our voices, our body and our brains. By the end of the lesson we will be able to change the pitch of a melody, sing at a high pitch and low pitch and follow the pitch of a piece of music. Please click on the link below to get started:
We have not completed all of the 6 lessons on Oak Academy so if you would like to compete lesson number 6 too then you are more than welcome.

Home Reader
We now have access to Bug Club. This allows you to read a variety of books at the correct book band you are on at school. We have allocated your book bands but once you have read all of the books within your current book band it will automatically move you up to the next one. We can’t wait to see how many book bands you move up.
Remember to start each story by using the read to me button and then read the story yourself. After each story make sure you answer the questions at the back of the book to help with your comprehension skills.
