Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all ok. You are doing so well with your home learning so well done to all of you. I know it is not always easy, but you are doing an excellent job.
I had lots of positive feedback about Monday's writing activity and many of you said you enjoyed the singing. Here are some more suggestions for today which I also hope you will enjoy.
Remember I will be phoning at some point this week (if I have not done so already) for parents' consultations.
Kind Regards,
Mr Leese
This much loved game is ideal for developing awareness of initial sounds but be aware that some items begin with a letter that does not reflect the initial sound for example we often say 'j' rather than 'd' at the beginning of drum to say 'jrum' rather than 'drum'.
How many shapes can you find in your house or garden? Have a good look and see what you can spot.
As I write this on Monday evening, the weather forecast for tomorrow is that we may get heavy snow. If you are feeling brave enough to venture out in the snow, use it to make marks and for writing. You may wish to write the sound of the day (y) which is detailed lower down the page.
Have a look at some family photographs with an adult. Talk about the people that you can see in the photograph. What relation are they to you. How are they similar to you / how are they different. Are there any interesting things to know about certain family members - I am sure they are many. You may wish to draw a picture of your family (don't forget to include any pets that you may have) which I would love to see if you sent it via Dojo.
