Good Morning Year 3!
Another brilliant day of work again yesterday. You are all amazing!
Today in English we would like you to continue with the Talk for Writing booklet. We would like you to re-read what you began to write yesterday about trolls and your planning sheet from Friday. We would then like you to write the sections on what do trolls eat and did you know facts. Once you have finished this piece, like in class, we would like you to edit your work using a different colour pen. Remember, you need to check your spelling and check you have included the tips from the success criteria on page 16. See if you can make any of your sentences better using adverbs and adjectives to get the readers attention. Remember, you do not have to print these off you can use a separate piece of paper to answer the questions. We have attached the booklet on our class page on the website and above on Class Dojo.
In Maths today we are following on from lesson 1 on ‘Fraction on a Number line’ we completed yesterday. We would like you to click on the link below:
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/
Once on can you click on week 2 lesson 2 ‘Fractions of a Set of Objects. We would like you to watch the video and then complete the activities. Again remember no need to print it off you can show workings on a separate page.
To carry on with the VE Day celebration on Friday, today we would like you to make some Union Jack bunting. We have attached a template to use on our class page but feel free to create your own to hang in your house or garden. It will be nice to decorate our houses to celebrate the importance of this day.
Please could you try and read for 5 to 10 minutes today. Maybe you could re-read the comprehension text on VE Day from yesterday so we understand what Friday is all about.
If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.
Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work and points for going above and beyond by completing extra tasks.
Have an amazing day and stay safe.
