Good Morning Year 3!

Another great day of hard work. You are all fantastic! We can’t wait to see you all again at 1pm today on Zoom.

The Joe Wicks P.E lessons are a great way to start your day. They are live at 9am but can be done at any time of the day. The link is below.

During our zoom lesson we are going to be looking at English today so if you are joining us on Zoom please hold off on this part. If you cannot make it on to Zoom we would like you to get your new English book out and complete page 17 on speech marks. Remember we use speech marks to show what a person is saying.

For example

Alfie shouted get the ball! With speech marks this would show what Alfie shouted. The sentence would then become:

Alfie shouted, “Get the ball!”

We have included a PowerPoint above on Class Dojo and below on the class page that we will be using in our Zoom lesson for those who can’t make it. It will help with how we punctuate when we are using speech marks.

In Maths today we would like you to look at written addition and subtraction in your CGP books on pages 20 and 21. You can write your workings out down using column addition and subtraction. Remember to use your place value correctly to help you calculate the sums correctly.

We would also like you today to take some time today to look after your mental wellbeing. We would like you to go outside or to the nearest window and look up at the sky. Look at what you can see, the shape of the clouds. We would then like you to draw what you can see and the shapes of the clouds you can see. We have attached a sheet on our class page but you can just use a blank piece of paper.

Please could you also read for 5-10 minutes today. Try and identify as much speech as you can in your book.

If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.

Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work and points for going above and beyond by completing extra tasks.

Have an amazing day and stay safe.
