Maths
Today in Maths we are going to start a new topic all about positions and direction.
To start us off we are going to look at patterns.
Patterns are things which are repeated over and over again.
For example:
We could have a purple circle followed by a gold star. This is the pattern. It is then repeated again by purple circle and gold star. This can be repeated as much or as little as you like.
Today we want you to click on the link below:
Here you have variety of games to create repeated patterns. Be careful as some are trickier than they seem.

English
Today in English we are going to continue with our ‘Talk for Writing’ piece on ‘Superheroes’
The first thing we need to do is to read the fact files and text on pages 3-5. There is also a link on page 3 for you to listen to the story. This will keep us familiar with the story.
Our task for today is to complete pages 12 and 13. We are going to make our very own Superhero cuff.
We first need to deign and label what our cuff is going to look like. You need to draw it and use adjectives, describing words, and extended noun phrases, describing the object e.g. a reds band at the top of the cuff, to label and explain what each part does.
Once you have designed your cuff you then read the instructions given and make it.
We cannot wait to see what they look like.
12:25 – 1:25
Lunch

Computing
This afternoon we well be continuing with algorithms in computing. Remember an algorithm is a set of instructions.
Today we are going to use a PowerPoint on our class page called ‘Knock Knock’.
Once you have read the PowerPoint we would like you to complete the activity of writing your own knock knock joke by creating a story board (algorithms) of how the joke goes. All of the resources are on our class page.
