Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all well. Thank you for the photographs of home learning that you sent yesterday. I can see that you are still working extremely hard.
Here are some activity suggestions for today. Remember they are only suggestions and you may have your own fab ideas for home learning.
Kind regards,
Mr Leese
Look for different letters in magazines, comics, newspapers, junk mail, food packaging etc. Cut out some of the letters and collect a range of them. Can your child say the letter sounds? This may be a fun way to revise the sounds learned so far (which is most of the single letter ones) in lower case.
Count out fruit from a fruit bowl onto two plates. Which has more and which has less on it? Count children's toys or bricks and sort into two piles. Which has more / which has less?
As part of our learning about transport this half term we will focus briefly on road safety. We will stress the importance of holding hands with and adult and the need to look very carefully when crossing the road. Also stress the importance of listening for traffic and well as looking when on the road. You may want to go for a short walk and focus on how to cross the road safely and carefully.
Have a go at putting on your coat and doing up the zip. This will really help when children come back to school.
