Good Morning Year 3!

It was so lovely to see so many of you yesterday when we delivered your new books. You are all fantastic! We can’t wait to see you all again at 1pm today on Zoom.

During our zoom lesson we are going to be looking at English today so if you are joining us on Zoom please hold off on this part. If you cannot make it on to Zoom we would like you to get your new English book out and complete page 1 on nouns. Remember a noun is a word used to identify a person, place or object. Once you have completed page 1 we would then like you to spend 5 minutes writing your own sentences using nouns and noun phrases.

In Maths today we would like you to look at ‘Measuring Problems’ in your CGP books (old books not the new ones). Sorry we can’t be more specific on what page numbers but some books are slightly different. Remember there are 10mm in 1cm, 100cm in a metre, 1000g in 1kg and 1000ml in 1litre. If you get a little stuck remember you can always ask an adult for help.

We would also like you to complete some Science today. In Science we are continuing our new topic of ‘Plants’ and today we are creating our very own TV show all about how to look after and grow a plant successfully. I have attached a worksheet above with a structure to follow. First we would like you to click on the link below and re watch the videos from last week.

Once you have watched the videos then click on the worksheet and start planning your TV show. We can’t wait to see your shows. If you take any videos please send them to our Facebook Messenger page.

Please could you also read for 5-10 minutes today. Try and identify as many nouns and pronouns that you can in your book.

Also remember to take part in some daily exercise. This could be walking the dog, doing p.e with Joe Wicks or just a run around in the garden. We would love to see picture of what you get up to.

If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.

Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work and points for going above and beyond by completing extra tasks.

Have an amazing day and stay safe.

Mrs Etheridge and Mrs Joesbury
