Yesterday we read the story of ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy during our live story time. In the story baby bear wanted to go to the moon. He found a rocket and a space helmet and set off on his journey.
Baby bear made his rocket from a cardboard box. Your challenge today is to see if you can build a rocket with everyday items from your house. You might have a cardboard box like baby bear, or you might find a washing basket that will blast you off to the moon, or maybe you can find lots of cushions around the house and build a space shuttle using your bed.
Once you have made your mode of transport to fly you to the moon, strap yourself in, pack your picnic and your favourite teddy and enjoy your adventure! What can you see on the moon? Is there anyone else there?
