Maths
We will be online promptly at 9.55am on Google Classroom for 15 minutes to look at our Maths lesson for today. You will need pages 3, 4 and 5 of the Maths Workout CGP Books.
Today we will be learning all about counting and order numbers. We would like you to count how many shapes are in each picture, remember to count them carefully so that you do not make any mistakes.
There are some missing number questions so you will need to fill in the gaps, for example:
5 10 15 __ 25
What number goes in the gap?
There are also some questions about counting forwards and backwards in tens, remember when you are counting in tens the ones digit does not change. The example below shows that the ones digit is always 5 and the tens digit changes each time.
45 55 65 75 85 95
10:55 – 11:10
Break

We will be reading the comprehension on page 1 and working together to answer the questions. We would then like you to complete another comprehension independently.

Lunch
1:25 – 2:05 (this task will continue at 2:20)
RE
This afternoon in RE we will be thinking about special events that we celebrate throughout the year. Can you think of any? During these celebrations we eat special meals. Have a look at the images below, can you think of when we eat these special meals?
Think about your favourite celebration and what special meal you like to eat. We would like you to download the plate template from the resources section and draw a picture of your favourite celebration meal. If you are unable to print the plate template please draw your own plate in your blue booklet. Once you have drawn your celebration meal we would like you to explain why this is your favourite meal. Remember that when you are writing sentences you must start each sentence with a capital letter and end it with a full stop.
