Good Morning Year 3
We hope that you’re all having a great week so far and enjoyed making your ‘Things to Look Forward to Jar’ yesterday. If you keep them somewhere safe we can share them together when we’re back at school.
Today in English we would like you to read all about an Ancient Egyptian god called Osiris, the story is about him and his incredibly jealous and nasty brother Seth. Whilst you are reading the story please write down any unfamiliar words and use a dictionary to look up their meaning at the end. When you’ve read the story twice please complete the activity sheet called ‘At The Party’, you’ll be able to find this sheet in the resources section on the class homepage.
In Maths today we would like you to practise dividing a 3 digit number by a 1 digit number. Please click on the link below which explains all about the short method of division what we call the bus stop method. There is a video at the bottom so please watch that too because it will refresh your memory and help you before answering the questions.
What is Bus Stop Method? - Twinkl Teaching Wiki
We would like you to answer the questions on the Bus Stop Method sheet that can be found in the resources section. There are lots of questions so we don’t expect you to answer them all, if you could answer half of them that would be great. You don’t need to print the sheet just write the question on a piece of paper and remember to draw those bus stops to help you with your working out!
In Spanish today we would like your to learn the name of the various body parts. We’d like you to download the sheet from the resources section and fill in the gaps using the word bank. You will need to use the internet to help you find the Spanish word and listen carefully as it will also help you with the correct pronunciation.
As always we are here for help and support so feel free to contact us on Class Dojo or Facebook.
Have a great day and stay safe
