Maths – Complete pages 32 & 33 in your Maths CGP book on Multiplying with Fractions. We haven’t looked at this much so feel free to watch the video here. Do not panic! It looks complicated but genuinely isn’t! Just imagine you are working with cake! 2/3 x 6 means 6 lots of cake, but you only have 2 out of the 3 slices. So 6 lots of 2 slices, that are a third in size. So 6 x 2 = 12 slices that are a third in size. This equals 12/3. When we convert this back into a mixed number (like we did yesterday) we will be left with 4. Use the video above if you would prefer to see how this works.
