Good Morning Year 3 ðŸ™‚

It was so lovely seeing all of your work yesterday, we were so impressed with all the extra Maths activities that you did - well done!

Today in English we would like you to complete an activity all about prefixes, prefixes are added to root words to make new words. For example; super + hero = superhero. We have added a PowerPoint all about prefixes which we would like you to read, there are some activities to complete whilst you are reading the PowerPoint so make sure you have a pencil and a piece of paper with you. Once you have read the PowerPoint please complete the activity called ‘Prefix Pairs’. It would be great if you could write some sentences that include the prefixes that you have discovered today.

In Maths today we would like you to focus on calculating the duration of events. We have added a document to the resources section on the class homepage called ‘ A Day Out’. There are three different ability levels so please choose the one which is most suitable for you, remember if you do not have a printer you can write the answers down on a piece of paper.

Today in History we would like you to take a look at an Ancient Egyptian artefact, an artefact is an item that has been left behind and recovered by an archaeologist . We would like to look at an artefact and answer some questions about it, such as what it tells us about the Egyptians and what it is made from. In the resources section on the class homepage you will be able to find a document with questions and pictures of the various artefacts, please choose one artefact and answer the questions.

It would be great to see you taking part with Joe Wicks’ PE lessons today, it is live on  YouTube at 9am but you can always complete one of his previous PE lessons on the Body Coach YouTube channel at anytime of the day.

As always we ask that you read for five to ten minutes, you may want to read to yourself snuggled up in bed or you may choose to read to your dog on the sofa, it’s totally up to you ðŸ™‚

We are available on Class Dojo and Facebook so please do get in touch if you have any questions or just want to show us some of your brilliant work. Dojos are given for every piece of completed work we see and it would be great to reach 2500 Dojo points by Friday so please keep the working coming in!

Have a fun day and stay safe!
