Maths puzzle
Today will be our last day of the Noggle Number puzzle so give this one a good go this morning please.
Using the below numbers, how many different ways can you make 16!
Please bring all the ways you have made 16 with you to our 9.25 call.
09.25 – 10.15
Maths – Statistics
Creating Your Own Data and Bar Graph
Google Classroom video call at 09.25am for the first 15 minutes.
After all our successes on Statistic Week I thought we would have one final day on it before moving on.
Today I want you to create your own tally chart and then a bar chart from your results.
I would like you to look around either one, two or three rooms and note how many things you see that are particular colours. For example…
Things Found Around the Home
Colour |
Tally |
Frequency |
Red |
|
|
Blue |
|
|
Yellow |
|
|
Green |
|
|
Then once you have collected all your data, put this into a bar chart like the below…
Then finally, please write some questions about your data that we can get someone else in the class to answer when we get back!
10.40 – 11.05
English – diary of our home learning experience.
Your diary entries are getting better and better as the days go by!
Most of you are remembering to include emotions, full stops and capital letters!
I’m thinking we do one more entry today and tomorrow and if they continue at this brilliant standard, next week we will do something else.
11.05 – 12.00
English – Fictional story – Noun phrases
Google Classroom video call at 11.05am for the first 15 minutes.
Before we start, I just want to say how impressed I am with all your planning for the fictional story. When we start writing it, this planning should make it very easy (and enjoyable) to complete.
I want us to do one more thing before we start writing up our story.
Today we are going to practise creating noun phrases.
A noun phrase is just a posh way of talking about including an adjective to describe a noun. It really makes our writing much more interesting to read for people!
For example…
let’s try to up level some more sentences…
With those examples in mind, please up level the attached sentences in your English exercise book.
Can you add one or two adjectives to every noun? Can you add an adverb to every verb?
1.00pm – 1.20pm
Quiet Reading Time
Time for your quiet reading time.
I am seeing some amazing books being read on the below Oxford Owl web site so if you are reading one, be sure to send me a picture of it.
Equally, I have included the below instructions on how to access the site if you have not visited already…
My class name agilbey

1.20pm – 2.20pm
PE
I know some of you enjoyed the PE With Joe session on Tuesday and some enjoyed the Cosmic Yoga Dance Party. Therefore I am giving you the choice on what exercise you can do this afternoon.
Option 1 – PE with Joe
Option 2 – Cosmic Yoga – Safari Adventure
Option 3 – Create your Own Dance Routine
I know we have lots of dancers in the class so if you would rather, why not use this time to create your own dance routine. It can be jazz, modern, tap, maybe a mix of everything. It’s completely up to you.
Option 4 – How Many in a Minute
If none of those sound interesting why not set yourself a challenge.
For example, how many star jumps can you do in a minute? Complete the challenge, then take a couple of minutes to get your breathe back, then try and beat that score.
Whichever of those sound most interesting to you, give it a go and get your sweat on!
2.20pm – 2.35pm
Mr Gilbey reads The World’s Worst Teacher…
Join us at 2.20pm today to hear the lengths Miss Spink will go to to continue collecting fines from the school children to upgrade her ‘Trike of Terror’.
