Let’s play some games to practise our reading today! At school we use a website called Phonics Play. The children love the games on there and I believe they can be played on either a tablet or a laptop. Phonics Play have very kindly opened up their website and made the games free during lockdown. Click on the link below to take you to the website.

Once you are logged on, click on resources at the top of the page and it will take you to the games. Some games are aimed at Reception and others for older children. The list of games below are games that are appropriate to Reception and ones that we enjoy in school. I have also included the correct phase to practise for each game.

- Grab a Giggling Grapheme (Phase 2 or single letter sounds in Phase 3)
- Tricky Words Trucks (Phase 2 Tricky Words – if any children are confident on Phase 2 they can begin Phase 3)
