Good Morning Year 3!
We hope you have had a great weekend and you’re ready to go. We can’t wait to see you all on Thursday.
In English today we would like you to get your comprehension book 1 out and complete pages 20 and 21. Remember to read the text twice before looking at the questions. Once you have read the text twice move on to the questions and highlight or underline the answers in the text. When you write your answers try to write in full sentences.
In Maths we are going to be looking at equivalent fractions. We would like you to click on this link:
https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/
We would like you to click on Summer Term Week 7 (w/c 8th June) lesson 1 ‘Equivalent Fractions 1’ and watch the video. We would then like you to complete the tasks given on the BBC Bitesize link below:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zm6rkxs
Remember equivalent just means equal to, for example 1/2 is the same as 2/4. You do not have to print this off you can show your workings on a blank piece of paper if that is easier.
We would also like you to complete some Geography as well today. Today we are going to be looking at mountains, we would like you to click on the link below to BBC Bitesize:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zbqsvk7
We would like you to watch the video then complete the activities set.
Today is also Wold Oceans Day. We would like you to read the PowerPoint above on Class Dojo and below on our class page. We would then like you to design a poster about how everyone can reduce the use of plastic e.g. recycle or reuse items and about how we could use less energy to help reduce global warming e.g. turn the lights off when we leave the room. We can’t wait to see your posters.
Please can you also read for 5-10 minutes today. We would like you to read to the funniest item you can find in your house.
If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.
Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work.
Have a wonderful day and stay safe.
Mrs Etheridge and Mrs Joesbury
