Good Morning Year 3!
We hope you have had a great weekend after all of your hard work last week. You really blew our socks off with all of the work and additional work that you completed.
Today we would like you to get your maths books out and complete the subtraction pages. Sorry we cannot be more specific on the page numbers but his is due to children having different books. To complete the questions you may wish to use a ruler, column subtraction (one number on the top and the other underneath) or even mental subtraction. Remember you have to keep the numbers in the order given or the answer will be different.
In English we would like you to work in comprehension book one and complete pages 6 and 7. Remember in class we ask you to read the text twice before looking at the questions. Once the text has been read twice we then move on to the questions. You need to find the answer in the text underline/ highlight it and then write your answer in a sentence.
In Science we have been learning all about animals including humans. Over the course of the week we would like you to fill in ‘My Nutrition Diary' (I have attached a link for one on the class page and on Class Dojo but feel free to create your own if you do not have a printer). The diary includes what you ate that day and which nutrients were provided by which food you ate.
As a bit of additional and fun learning this week we would like you to learn the Makaton signs for ‘I Can Sing a Rainbow.’ We will be learning this with you with the hope of creating a class video of us all completing it. I have attached a link to the signs and song to copy. If you could send us the videos of you signing to the messages on Class Dojo this will make it easier to put the video together as a class. We thought we could dedicate this video to the NHS staff.
Please could you try and read for 5 to 10 minutes today. You can read anything that interests you from magazines to your library book.
If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.
Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work and points for going above and beyond by completing extra tasks e.g. Joe Wicks P.E lesson on YouTube.
Have a wonderful day and stay safe.
