Monday 29th June

Our Zoom lesson today will be the Maths work. Login at 9.30am with your Maths CGP book and we’ll go through this together. Zoom login details have been sent on Class Dojo (this morning) and were text out yesterday.

Maths – Complete pages 70 & 71 in your Maths CGP book looking at line graphs.

We have looked at these before and it involved using straight lines! Make sure you have a ruler. When asked to look at a section, draw a straight line from the bottom to meet the line, then draw a line across the make it easier to read.

Answers are at the back of the book.

English – Complete pages 15 – 16 in your English CGP books based on commas, brackets & dashes. We often call the use of these bits of punctuation as parenthesis. Remember, the commas, brackets & dashes usually go in pairs around bits of information that are extra information. If we removed the bits that are in punctuation, the sentence should still make sense! E.g. Mr Oakley, who was exited for next year, couldn’t wait to see his class again.

Reading – 15 minutes of reading. Please send a photo of the reading or the reading record signed.

Music – This week we are going to look at body percussion (using your body to make sounds). Have a look at this Folk Song from New Zealand. Try and join in, it starts not too difficult but by the “Expert” Level it can be quite tricky! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFKRwWsfjno

Now listen to this percussion play-a-long of the William Tell overture. Can you first clap along with every symbol?

Now choose a different body percussion to accompany the piece of music – e.g. clap on the circles and stamp on the triangles.  How many different body percussion sounds can you include in the music? This is tricky!
