Good Morning Year 3!

We hope you have had a lovely weekend. We are about to start our 4th week of home schooling already.

In English we are going to be starting a Talk for Writing piece of work. This will go over a couple of weeks and will involve a variety of tasks building up to a final published piece of work. Today we would like you to read the story ‘The Truth About Trolls’ through twice. We would then like you to find the meaning of the words provided on page 7. You can use a dictionary, ask someone you live with for help or use the internet to find the meaning of each word. We have attached the booklet to our class page on our school website and above on Class Dojo. Do not worry about printing this off the activities can be completed on separate paper.

In Maths we are looking at fractions this week. We would like you to click on this link:

We would like you to click on week 1 lesson 1 ‘Unit and non-unit fractions’ and watch the video on fractions. We would then like you to complete the tasks given. You do not have to print this off you can show your workings on a blank piece of paper if that is easier.

We would also like you to complete some Science today. After our start last week into what we know about light, we would like you to follow the BBC Bite Size lesson ‘Introduction to Light and Dark’. Once you have watched the video we would like you to complete all 3 activities. The link is below:

Please could you try and read for 5 to 10 minutes today. We would like you to read in a funny voice.

If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.

Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work and points for going above and beyond by completing extra tasks e.g. Joe Wicks P.E lesson on YouTube.

Have a wonderful day and stay safe.
