Monday 22nd June

Our Zoom lesson today will be the English work. Login at 9.30am with your English CGP book that you were given last week and we’ll go through this together. Zoom login details have been sent on Class Dojo (this morning) and were text out yesterday.

Maths – Complete pages 16 & 17 in your Maths CGP book on Square & Cube numbers. Remember that a square number is written like this 42. This means 4 x 4 (2 numbers – hence the little 2). A cube number is written like this 43. This means 4 x 4 x 4 (3 numbers – hence the little 3). It is useful to memorise the first 12 square numbers I.e. 12 = 1.      22 = 4     32 = 9    all the way up to 122 = 144.

Have a look on this link for any more guidance.

English – Today we are going to complete page 8 in your English CGP book looking at Adverbs and Adverbials. An Adverb is a word that describes how or when an action is completed e.g The man ran quickly to his car as it was raining heavily. An Adverbial does the same job but in more than one word e.g. The man ran as fast as he could to his car as it was raining heavier than ever.

Reading – 15 minutes of reading. Please send a photo of the reading or the reading record signed.

It is a special week this week as it is National Sports Week! Seeing as it is highly unlikely that we will get to complete Sports Day this year, I thought it would be fun to put our School Houses up against each other in our own “Stay at home Rainbow Games”. I will set an activity or two each day that you need to complete. Complete the task and send your score to me via Dojo (including which house you are in). I will add the scores up and divided it by the number of people who take part (to ensure it is fair) and let you know who our winner is!

PE – One activity to kick us off today, have a go at ‘Jump my Height’. I look forward to hearing how you get on!

I will also add bonus points on for any extra physical activities you get up to such as a long walk, joining in with Joe Wicks, playing a game with your family etc. Just send your photos in on Dojo to collect your points!
