Good Morning Year 3!
We hope you have had a wonderful Easter break. We are really missing you all and can’t wait to hear from you all again and see what you have been up to.
In English today we would like you to complete pages 10-11 in comprehension book 1. Remember to read the text twice before answering the questions. Find the answers in the text underline or highlight it and then write the answers in full sentences.
In Maths we would like you to complete the division pages. Sorry we can’t be more specific on the page numbers but this is due to children having different booklets. To help you solve the division questions you can use sharing (drawing the number of circles you are diving by and then count the number of items you are dividing out into each circle equally), bus stop method (number of items you start with inside the bus stop and then how many you are diving by outside of the bus stop to the left then the answer goes on top) or your multiplication knowledge with a multiplication square (we have attached one for your to use).
We would also like you to complete some Science today. We are starting a new topic about Light. Today we would like you to mind map what you already know about light. We have attached a copy of the sheet to help you on our class page on the website. Some prompts to help you include what is a shadow made from, what is a reflection, how do we see things, what is darkness, why do people wear sunglasses and what things make light.
As we are currently living through a moment in history we would like you to begin to complete ‘My 2020 Covid-19 Time Capsule Booklet’ for you to look back on in the future. We will be setting you tasks each day. Today we would like you to design a front cover for your time capsule booklet, you can always use the one we have provided, and we would like you to complete a page on how you are feeling, what you are thankful for and what you are looking forward to doing once we have beaten Covid-19. We would also like you to include a portrait of yourself.
Please could you try and read for 5 to 10 minutes today. You can read anything that interests you from magazines to your library book.
If you require any help or assistance please do not hesitate to contact us on the Class Dojo page or on our school Facebook page.
Remember there are Dojo points up for grabs for every picture we see of completed work and points for going above and beyond by completing extra tasks e.g. Joe Wicks P.E lesson on YouTube.
Have a wonderful day and stay safe.
