The teaching of reading using phonics begins in Nursery at Moorcroft Wood and continues throughout the EYFS and rest of school. It is vital that children become confident and competent readers and we find that the children really enjoy learning this key skill.

Feedback from parents in the past has indicated that the information about pure sounds (how to say the sounds) was particularly useful.
