Today we are going to plan a menu for a Stay-At-Home street party on Friday!

Grown ups, do not panic, I am not expecting anyone to go to a shop or spend any money! This is just an activity to give the children an idea of how much food costs and how people would have eaten during wartime. If you would like to give any of the recipes a go, though, I would love to see them!

Read through the booklet of wartime recipes, and choose some that you would like to try. Pick some that are savoury, and some that are sweet to make a tasty feast for a street party.

Then, go onto an online supermarket website, such as Asda, and work out the cost of your street party food.
