Handwriting
A few parents have mentioned recently that children are working hard on forming their numbers but sometimes find these a little tricky. Please don’t worry, just like our letters and sounds, it is all about repetition and practise.
For our handwriting task for the next couple of weeks, we will focus on forming one number a day. The song below is the song we teach the children to help them form the number 0.
0
From the top, go all the way round,
from the top, go all the way round,
from the top, go all the way round,
to make the number zero.
(Children start with their finger high in the air and make a big circle in anti-clockwise direction as they sing the rhyme).
