Handwriting

For this you will need the English Handwriting Reception book that was in your packs.

Turn to page 4 of your workbook and trace the loops. Start with your pencil on the red dots and try to keep your pencil on the paper until you reach the plane.

The sound we practised today in RWI was 'a'. Can you remember how to write the sound 'a'? We go - round the apple and down the leaf. Go and practise forming the sound 'a' in anyway you choose. You might like to write 'a' in sugar, salt, flour, glitter, shaving foam, paint, or any other inventive ways you can think of. Keep practising and you'll soon get the hang of it. I'd love to see photos of your handwriting.

Once you have done this, go back to your workbook, turn to page 8 and find the line with 'a' on. Can you now practise forming the letter 'a' in your workbook with a pencil (please don't practise 'c' or 'o' on that page yet as we will do those another day).
