Dear Nursery,

Well done for working so hard this week and thank you for sending me your photographs of all your home learning.  Here are some suggestions for today.  Remember, they are only suggestions.  Please do not feel that you have to do everything.

Kind regards,

Mr Leese

Make your own Gingerbread Man picture

The Gingerbread Man needs a boat

If the Gingerbread Man had a boat to sail across the river he might not have been eaten by the fox.  Have a go at making a boat.  Maybe you could use some things from the recycling bin to help you with your boat.

Maths - Can you count how many characters from the Gingerbread Man story are in each of the pictures?

Story Time - Meg and Mog Megs cake

Gingerbread is very tasty - so is cake! Watch this short story and then answer the questions. I hope you enjoy it.

1)  How many witches came to visit Meg?  (4 came to visit)

2) What was wrong with the first cake that Meg made?  (It was too small to feed everyone)

3)  What was wrong with the second cake that Meg made?  (it was far too big)

4) What does 'tiny' mean?  (It means 'very small')

5) What is your favourite type of cake?

I hope you have enjoyed learning about the Gingerbread Man this week.  Next week we will be looking at the story of The Three Little Pigs.  I hope you have a good weekend.
