Good Morning Year 3 🙂
Well done for another day of learning yesterday, we were really impressed with your division skills 👍🏻
Today in Maths we would like you to complete some mini challenges which will test your problem solving skills. You’ll need a piece of paper to make notes and show your working out on, remember to read the question carefully and check which operation the question is asking you to do. The questions can be found in the resources section on the class homepage in a document called ‘ Challenge Friday Questions’.
We would also like you to practise multiplying 1-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers. This can be done by using the grid method or the short method of multiplication.
Please start with whichever method you feel most confident with and then challenge yourself to try the other method.
Today in English we will be looking at apostrophes and how they are used to show possessions. A possessive apostrophe shows that something belong to someone or is connected to them.
Emma’s bike was green with red stickers.
The apostrophe in the sentence shows that the bike belongs to Emma.
In the link below there are two videos that we would like you to watch and you can choose which of the activities you complete.

We think that’s during these times it’s really important that children hear and read about good news stories. In the resources section we have added a good news story which we would like you to read and there are also some questions to answer. You can answer the questions if you want to but you don’t have to, we just thought it would be great to hear about some positive news and for you to be able to share that with others.
As always we’re here if you need any help so please do get in touch on Class Dojo or via Facebook.
Have a great day and stay safe.
