Friday 5th February 2021

Good Morning,

I hope everyone is safe and well.  Thank you for all the hard work you are doing with your home learning and for sending in your photographs.  I have been sharing them with the children in school and they are really enjoying seeing pictures of their friends.

Today is 'Dress to Express Yourself' day which is part of Mental Health Awareness week.  In Nursery we have been discussing different emotions and how somethings can make us feel really happy and other things can make us feel upset.  The idea behind 'Dress to Express' is to wear something that says something about you.  It may be a top with a picture of your favourite character or superhero on it, or a sport kit of your favourite sport or something else that you like.

Today, as part of the home learning the children can learn about different emotions and what makes them feel a particular way.  The story 'Colour Monster' introduces children to different feelings and you may like to share it with your child.

I have also included some links to the next phonics video (j) and a link to a maths game.  Next week we will be exploring the story of the Little Red Hen and activities will be based around that story.

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend.

Kind regards,

Mr Leese
