Friday 29th January 2021

Good morning everyone,

Well done on another excellent week of home learning.  You have all worked incredibly hard and should be really proud of what you have done.

Here are some suggestions for today's learning that you may wish to try.  The feedback that I have received from parents is that they are really pleased with their children's counting and ability to recognise sounds which is great to hear.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.  I hope you have a good weekend.

Kind Regards,

Mr Leese

Jolly Phonics Song "a-z"

You have learned a lot of new sounds, but don't forget to keep revising them to help remember them. This song is a favourite that goes over the sounds that have been learned already.

Geraldine the Giraffe learns the /e/ sound

Our new sounds today is 'e'.

Lowercase Alphabet Letter E Learn to Read and Write

'e' can be a tricky sound to write but try your best. You have been sending me photographs of some fantastic writing - well done.

Can you find the things that begin with 'e'?

Get Creative - Build the Three Bears' Cottage

At school, we are making the Three Bear's Cottage out of cardboard boxes.  The photographs show the start of what we are making but I will post more photographs once it is finished.  If you have got boxes or cardboard at home you may want to make your own cottage.  Have fun and I look forward to seeing your creations.  You may want to do this over several days.

Maths

For maths today, can you try to put your numbers in order.  You may want to use some building blocks to help you like I have done in the above pictures.  Write numbers on each of the blocks (you may wish to write the numbers on paper and stick them on to save writing on the blocks), and then try to build the tower in the correct order.
