Good Morning Year 3 ðŸ™‚

Well done for another super day of learning yesterday, you are only 152 dojo points away from today’s target of 2500 points, we know you can get there! Yesterday we saw some children doing good deeds at home, we love this and thought it would be a nice idea to do a good deed today, we will also be doing some good deeds today and we will share them with you on Class Dojo! Any good deeds that we see will be shared on the Class Dojo story and you will receive 3 dojo points.

In English today we would like you to find as many words as you can from the letters below:

You may want to challenge someone in your house to see who can make the most words. Once you’ve found as many words as you can we would like you to include them in a short story of no more than 200 words. The story can be about aliens, unicorns, dinosaurs or absolutely anything that interests you. Remember to include adjectives, adverbs, inverted commas, a range of sentences and exciting language to catch the readers attention and to create a really interesting story.

In Maths today we’re going to practise our times tables, we would like you to time yourselves completing a times tables grid and then answer some true or false questions. After that you may want to have a sing along with Filbert Fox and learn the 8 times tables. Click on the link below to watch the video and join in with Filbert:

In Art this term we were going to make pop - up books, the book was going to be all about Ancient Egypt and a pyramid was going to pop up in the middle. We thought it might be a nice idea to have a go at making one of these at home. We have added a guide to the resources section on the Year 3 class homepage. We would like you to make your book all about Ancient Egypt, please include pictures, facts and a pop - up element inside. We realise that this is quite a big task to complete so please take your time and enjoy making the book.

If you can find some time to read again today that would be excellent, why not share a story on FaceTime with someone that you are really missing and can’t wait to see.

As always we are available to contact on Facebook and Class Dojo, if you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch and please do keep those messages and pictures coming.

Have a great day and stay safe.

Mrs Joesbury and Mrs Etheridge
