Forest Schools

We are very fortunate to have beautiful school grounds that include a considerable area of woodland.  We make full use of this by delivering a forest school programme.  All children in Reception regularly visit the school woodland to take part in forest school sessions where children have the opportunity to explore the natural surroundings and take part in activities to improve communication and language skills as well as aid the development personal, social and emotional skills.  We provide children with water-proof suits and wellington boots to wear for sessions in the woodland. Please click on the link above to see the pictures.

Currently Reception children will visit the woods twice per week on either a Monday afternoon, Wednesday or Thursday morning, or Thursday afternoon.
