Calendar

Hopefully you still have your days of the week strips of paper to hand. Don’t worry if you haven’t or if you haven’t made any yet, the instructions are below for making them.

Take a piece of paper and cut it into 7 strips. Ask an adult to write a day of the week on each strip or, if you’d like a challenge, why don’t you have a go at writing the days of the week by copying the words below. You might like to use a different colour for each day (take a look at the photos at the bottom of this page to see my work this morning).

Shuffle up your days of the week cards and then see if you can place them in order. Remember to use your initial sounds to help you find each day (e.g. 'F' for Friday).

What day is it today? Yesterday was Monday. Which day comes after Monday?

Yesterday was the 25th. Can you use the interactive number line or your counting objects to find one more than 25?
