Following a meeting with the governing body at the end of last term - school will now be following Government and local authority guidelines in term of the authorisation of holidays.
All holiday requests will now be overseen by a panel of Governors who will make the final decision as to whether to grant holiday requests or whether to fine even if requests are granted they will and still be recorded as unauthorised.
For your information the costs of fines are £60 per child, per parent rising to £120 per child per parent.
I understand the feelings with regards to holiday during term time, however children also have a right to be in school and to be educated to give them the best life chances possible.
We have however as colleagues and governors decided not to take teacher training day this year but finish school for the summer break on Friday 15th July. This does give you the chance if you so wish to take advantage of savings before the more expensive summer holiday period starts.
